Default 2014 IS350 F, Mark Levinson - Add a new sub, upgrade current sub(s), or replace all?

So, I have the ML system and want more bass, but that's all I need really. Trying to figure out if the best route is to add a new sub, replace the subs, or replace the entire system. I would ideally like everything in the car to still work, the nav etc., so I feel like the best option is to just add a new amp and sub in the trunk. Would that mesh with the rest of the ML? Should I have a professional handle the crossover of that? If that's not worth it, how much money would I have to spend to get a marginally better aftermarket system in there, and would the other electronics in the car be okay with it?
