I have an '00 Rx300 with the Nakamichi sound system right now. My wife and I recently took a test drive in the Rx330 with Mark Levinson sound system and I am drooling over the improved clarity offered by the ML. Unfortunately, Lexus has chosen not to sell the ML on performance package equipped cars. I'm not willing to make the tradeoff, so it seems like I will be forced to get a performance/nav package and upgrade the sound system aftermarket.

What I am wondering is if it is possible to just plug in the ML speakers, head unit, and amps to the stock Pioneer wiring harness and get the same sound, or is it more complicated than that?

If you are going to tell me to skip ML altogether and go with your favorite setup and you live in the L.A. area then I want to hear it in person first. I know I like the ML sound. There are people on this board who actually prefer the Nak to the ML (the Nak makes me want to barf!), so I'm not willing to go with anyone else's opinion without hearing for myself first.
