Security By Pass Options for Remote Starter?
I traded in my GX470 for a new Toyo Highlander last November and then installed a Viper 7756 alarm with remote starter. Before the install, I wasn't told when using the auto starter once you get in it the engine will shutdown. This is due to the security chip used for the auto/remote start is different then the chip in the key fob.
Can anyone provide an explanation of options that I have so the car doesn't have to shutdown when I get into the car? A coworker of mine who has a new Mercedes with a push start said her car doesn't shutdown after using the auto/remote start.

It's a Lexus thing. My wife's Jeep stays running too and while I would prefer it not to shut off, it's not worth the time, effort, and work to get the Lexus programming fooled so it stays running when all unneeded to do was suck it up and push the button again once I'm in the car. My presumption is that it's more anti-theft security than anything. And last I checked, there are no options to change it.
