Default Rockford 3sixty.3 in an IS250

Has anyone here ever done one? Completely removing the factory amplifier and retaining functionality of the steering wheel controls/Phone capabilities

If you remove the stock amplifier, you will not have volume control. One option is to use the signal from the amplifier output into your 360.3, assuming it has speaker level input. The best option is (but a little $$$) is to get the Beat Sonic harness, replace the stock head unit, and bypass the stock system completely.
I replace the stock head unit in my 2007 IS250, and the sound quality increased significantly. The overall volume also increased significantly also. Still in the process of installing the MS-8 and a few amps, along with speakers, and sub upgrade for a nice active 2 way + sub setup.

So Basically... I am going to have to keep the factory amplifier if i want to retain oem features such as volume control wheel control Bluetooth etc..

So What i am planning now is taking the speaker outputs from the OEM amp and running them to the hi level inputs of the 3sixty.3. Then taking 2 four channel amplifiers and running them back using the OEM wiring to the stock speakers.

I Really dont want to replace the factory HU because it like the look in the car.

Yes, all if not most of the processing is done inside the factory amp. Will you be replacing the stock speakers? Are you familiar with an active setup and tuning? Not trying to be negative, just trying to figure out what's the reason for the processor, amps, and retaining the stock speakers?

Sooo.
I just needed to amplify the stock speakers so they could keep up with my Bass..

As Far as going active... This is my plan

1- Sundown zv4 12 on a sundown 2500 ~~~ about 2.5k RMS Will handle anything below 80hz
1. FSD audio 125.4 on the stock silkdome tweeters that will handle anything above 1khz
1 FSD audio 125. 4 on the stock midrange and subwoofer door speakers that will handle 80- 1khz
1. 3sixty.3 for oem integration
1. XSpower 2400 Up front 70 AH battery
2. Stinger SPV 35 40 AH batteries in the back
2 Runs of SHCA OFC copper 1/0 Under the car.
1. Mechman 260 Amp Alternator.

So I think i should be set for equipment. I just have to figure out how im going to put this all together...
