Question Head Unit Replacement

I have a SC400 with the regular Lexus Premium System (Not the NAK). I am intersted in replacing the unit with a Clarion MAX 2256, which is a dual din unit with a LCD screen built in. I was wondering if this can be wired in to use the factory amps, speakers and sub setup or do I have to rewire all the speakers and get a new amp for the sub, as the guys at Car Toys told me. Any advise would be appreciated.

hello,

to my little knowledge, i believe you don't always have to change all tires, speakers, and amps...

i belive you can just put that new unit and get a connector and it will be just fine. if you can satisfy with a stock system.

Thanks.

I didnt think it all had to be rewired. Do you know where I can get this connector. Also, I wasnt really satified with the stock system either. I already have an additional JL10 that helps out the factory 10 alot and Infinities in the doors. I just didnt want to run new wires into the front doors b/c I dont see how I could conceal them.

you might want to see after you install a new in dash.
and see how it makes diff. from now. b/c it really makes diffs with aftermarket unit and stock systems.

you can look around and find a connector for sure.

most of time when you get new indash you need a connector that connects factory wires to your new aftermarket unit. but sometimes no.
