Hello gentlemen,

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I'm posing my question properly.
I just purchased a 1992 Lexus SC400 and have a question about the stereo/CD player.
The car has a p1600 system in it, plus it has a 1996 Sony CD player in the trunk with a wired remote stuffed in the ash tray. The radio works fine, but when I use the remote to turn the CD player on, it shows that it is playing, but no sound. Since there is no CD button on the unit (unlike the p6800), should the CD come on when I want to use it or do I need to be on a pre-set channel for it to play? The first of many questions to come. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
