need help choosing equipment
i'm looking at running two jl audio 12w3v3's, my original thinking was to run them with an alpine MRX-M110
2 12w3v3-2 in series @4ohm giving me 650w rms from the MRX-M110 $254
another option is
2 12w3v3-4 in parellel @2ohm with a JL Audio JX500/1D giving me 500w RMS $164 someone said this would be enough power, last idea is
2 12w3v3-2 in series @4ohm with a JL Audio JX1000/1D giving me 500w RMS $280 if 500w RMS is enough power would the extra money to run the JL amp at 4ohms be worth it SQ wise would someone say JL is that superior to Alpine as far as amps would i be happier over all
my question is if 250w appears to be below optimum power would i not be happier running 325w? or is 250w plenty and will i notice much difference sq difference from 2 vs 4ohm's

2ohm vs 4ohm won't make a negligible difference in terms of sound quality with subs. So go with the option that gives you the most power that's within your budget. JL and Alpine are both reputable brands I wouldn't be afraid to use to use either.
