I would either use power one 10w7 with the 500/1, or power something else with the 500/5 (like the 10W3). If you really want 2 10w7's you will have to buy the 1000/1, because the 500/1 for the 2 subs is not enough.
how about i use the 500/5 to power two JL Audio 10W6v2 including the speakers inside the car.
No way, if I could remember the 500/5's sub channel only has around 250 watts, the W6's need at least 400 watts EACH. If you have your heart on the 500/5 then go with 2 10w1's (which are pretty good), or a single 10W3. Don't get me wrong, the 500/5 is a great amp, but it does not have the power you need if you want the w6 or w7's.
well my friend just installed two JL Audio 10W6v2 with a 500/1 amp. how does that happen.
He can wire them up to that amp, but he's really underpowering those subs and eventually they three will go. What you need is a sub that can handle in range between 50- 500 watts rms

ok. so what JL amp can handle the two "JL Audio 10W6v2". at the same time im trying to connect the amp to the speakers inside the car to "power" them up too. is there an amp that can do both at the same time?

What you are wanting to do is not possible with those perticular subs, you would need to go with a lower wattage sub if you want to get the 500/5. Get the 1000/1 to power those (2)10 W6 or (2) 10W7
There are other set-ups you can go with, this is what im throwing out there.
(2) 10W7 Sub get the 1000/1 amp
Mids and highs speaker inside the car 300/4 amp
i dont get it.. so the two JL Audio 10W6v2 will work on the 500/1 but not the 500/5. why?
500/5 = 250 watts for sub
500/1 = 500 watts for sub
That's EACH sub, if you plan on using more then one, divide the power by the number of subs.
ex: 500/1 and two subs = 500 / 2=250 watts each.
or
500/5 and two subs = 250 / 2=125 watts per sub.
After looking up the amps at JL's site
500/5:
100 watts x 2 (front)
25 watts x 2 (rear)
250 watts x 1 (sub)
500/1
500 watts x 1 (sub only)
You will have to buy another amp to power your other speakers if you plan to buy the 500/1
BTW, I never said that you wouldn't be able to power the subs, I said that you will not be getting what you paid for (by under powering them). I would rather buy cheaper subs and give them the power that I have then buy higher end subs and under power them.
but then again.. do i need another amp to power the speakers inside the car, or can the 1000/1 handle both
JL Audio identifies there amps with a number after the slash (ie. 500/5) which indicates the number of channels.
In the 1000/1's case its a 1 channel amp aka mono amp.
So you will have to buy an additional amp to power the front/rear speakers inside the car.
Like what LayinLo recommended, the 300/4 (75 watts x 4), would be an nice amp to power your other speakers.
