Default Freeair sub for SPL?

ok guys i have a week left to make my mind up.

I want a good spl sub. I am set to go with the kicker 10L7 or 12L7.
With a good amp.

However now i have been reading some backposts and i am intrested in the free air subs.

i would like to kno if theres any freeair sub that is good for spl?
Are there any free airsubs that compare to the L7 lineup?

I need help quick!!!

thanks in advance.

for IB SQL I would get IDMAX. or maybe even Adire Audio BRAHMA. They have pretty good spect for IB's and I know a few people who have them set up that way.

i was thinking to get a
Image Dynamics ID8 v.3
and
Kicker Solobraic 10L5

the id would full the stock location for the LS

and the L5 would help out on bass.

how would this setup sound???

also wat kind of amp should i get?
a 2 channel or 1?
or just get 2 different amps?

I second retrodrive's suggestion for the IDMAX. I would personally do a IDMAX in IB - SQL application and run a nice Zapco or Arc Audio amplifier to power the sub'. The IDMAX sounds great (gets loud and clear) in free-air application.

If you want other choices...OZ Audio has a clean free-air subwoofer as well.
