Amplifier choices
I know I no longer have a Lexus but I really would like some comments on my current choices.
I am trying to come up with two options to replace my Alpine PDX V9 5-channel amp for a more clean SQ setup in my 98' M3 convertible.
My two choices are:
1. Old school Mmats SQ2125 2-channel amp for my front speakers
2. Old school Mmats SQ2125 2-channel amp for my rear speakers
3. Old school Mmats DHC1400.1 monoblock amp for my 10' sub
OR
1. ZED Audio Draconia III 4 channel amp for all my speakers
2. ZED Audio Minotaur II monoblock amp for my sub
OR
Keep my Alpine PDX V9 amp and add a PDX M6 amp to power the sub
Assuming if the first two options cost about the same amount of money, could anyone give me any recommendation as to which option I should go with and why?
Also, do I need a capacitor to run either one of the above options?
My current setup is as follows:
Alpine TDA 7558 head unit
Alpine ERA-G320 EQ
Alpine SPX 13-Pro front component speakers
Alpine SPS 5.25 rear coaxial speakers
Alpine CHA-S634 CD changer
Brax Matrix 10' subwoofer in a custom downward firing sealed box
Prior to coming up with these options, I researched amps from Brax, Helix, Zapco, Audison, Mcintosh, and old school Soundstream/PPI. Unfortunately, none of them is compact enough to fit the various areas in my 98' E36 M3 convertible unless I sacrifice the whole trunk space, which I am not too inclined to do for now.
I am going for a SQ system with some decent bass as well.
Any opinion is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!
Jon

These amps are great choices but they're too big.
I would like to have something that's smaller than 13' x 13'.
Any suggestions or comments as to which option above I should go with?
Thanks!

My Audison Voce 5.1 gives me 140x2 to my 6.5s, 75x2 to my tweets and 1,000 rms to my sub at 2ohms and is insanely clean. The crossover on the amp allows me to run the run active as well. I get the old school, trust me, but I switched to this amp almost a year ago and absolutely love it. I had run 90s era PPI and Zapco previously and liked them prior to making the switch.

Okay, didn't catch the small footprint need in the original post........ What about a JL HD or XD series. Pretty small and would be much cleaner than anything Memphis has put out lately. Used to use a lot of Memphis stuff but really think they've gone down hill with their new series. Their M Class and PR series from about 3 years ago was pretty good and better than their new stuff but still not really clean if you have SQ in mind for this build.

Thanks for your input, guys.
If space is of no concern then the Audison AV 5.1k would be my dream amp for sure. But then I'll most likely have to reconfigure my trunk space to make it fit.
I've recently replaced my TDA 7558 head unit with a DVA 7996 DVD receiver. That definitely made a huge difference to the overall SQ!
