Could be multiple things.

Did you make any changes to your car or drop your key? If that frint switch is on and the key has had the battery replaced AND it still does not work then you could then look next at the chip that is installed by the seat. Is it loose? Also, I wonder if there are any fuses blown that this works on...

it could be a capacitor near the receiver..or ROM. My remote key is not working since the day I purchased..

There's a way to check what causes your keyless entry system. if you cant find the thread, let me know.

i cant find the thread... i replaced my battery in my key and checked that key switch... nothing.
