Twice I have taken my non-operating CD changer out of the trunk of my 92 ES, paid $135 and $158 to repair it, and now it has quit working AGAIN! I don't want to pay again. But meanwhile I have six of my best CD's in the changer. The eject light is on, but the unit will not eject my CD's, Does anyboddy know a way to get my CD's out of the changer without breaking apart the CD changer?
actually. almost all cd players and changer should have a small pin size hole. just get a paper clip and push it in. and the cartdridge should come out
if you have the factory 92 es 300 changer it is a pioneer cdx m30 type changer. those changer have a manual eject inside the changer.you have to remove the black case from the bracket. unsrew the top case. after removong the black top case you will find a blue square chip an inch back and above from the left side of the magazine. you can only get to it by taking off the top. but possibly accessed by a paper clip through a hole in the top of the changer . i always reemove the top. if you push the blue resistor chip to the left it will pop out the magazine. the blue resistor chip is the automatic mechanism but can be worked manually if you remove then top of the changer.. if you try to remove the magazine any other way it will break the locking pin and ruin the changer which cost 1300.00 new........................................................................................................................... also make sure the radio fuse #2 the 7.5 amp fuse under dash panel fuse block not blown . this would make the orange eject light from radio fuse #1 still working but the power comes from the smaller amp fuse.
Anyone know how to get cds/dvds from a dead Lexus IS? No power, or fuses.
connect it to a 12v power supply, like a cordless drill battery, car battery, ect... then eject... if that does work.. break out the screw driver or hammer.
