I want to replace the 8" sub in my 2006 lexus is 350. I can get a JL 8W0 sub for free, and was wondering if this will fit? Also, can I run it from the stock AMP?

even if you could run it from the stock amp, it would probably have less output than the stock sub - stock sub is pretty efficient for its size and power...

I've 2010 HS250h and I've been looking to replace my 8" stock sub too.
However, I haven't found one with dual voice coil which is has an efficiency of 90db or more!
On top of that, it is supposed to be a reduced height one - that makes it even more challenging to find a replacement.

I considered this before going with aftermarket setup in the trunk. One word of warning, you need to check the impedence of the factory sub before you make plans to replace it with aftermarket. The factory sub is a DVC, but I'm not sure at what ohms. You wouldn't want to go higher, as you wouldn't get the full power from the amp. Go too low and you could have issue with the amp cutting out the sub channel.
