Default gs400 with NAK problem

Hey I am having a problem with my HU that comes and goes.
If I have the volume on the HU loud for a extended period of time (ex.30 mins) the sound frequency gets distorted and it loses all volume. If I turn off the radio right away and turn it back on it will work fine again for another couple of minutes then repeat the process. Is my amp bad? what can I do to fix this since its really annoying!!

did you figure it out? Keep us posted. I'm having the same issue now I'm down to no sound at all. The radio powers up, and the cd is playing but I have no sound. I'm replacing the amp soon

Could be amp, head unit, or even connectors/connections. Does it ever do it if you keep the volume really low for 30 mins?
Could be a bad transistor in the amp or head unit.

Nope doesn't happen at all if its a low volume. Just came back from a 2 hour road trip with the volume at medium and it didn't happen once.
