Hey everyone, I recently installed an axxera x2dma500 in my sc400. I am powering 2 speakers from the head unit and the stock sub from an aftermarket amp. At first everything was perfect. However after a couple months, the screen became blank. Everything is fully functional and the screen even lights up but it's blank. and now over the past few days the sound started cutting out to the speakers but the sub still works. I pulled out the unit today to check the wires and everything seemed find. the head unit is grounded to the ground wire a11. could a bad ground be causing these issues even though it worked at first? is it the unit? also im having issues with lights dimming around the car so maybe inadequate supply from the alternator (battery's less than a year old)? any help or thoughts are appreciated. Unfortunately my idiot self blew a fuse when i was checking the connections so i cant try a new ground until tomorrow.

 

I hate to say it but it more than likely is your HU. Axxera is not known for quality. Caveat Emptor.
