Question Need Help (Aftermarket MP3/CD-Changer)

Hi,
I have '93 Lexus LS400 with factory Pioneer Sound System.
I would like to replace my factory CD-Changer with any aftermarket CD/MP3-Changer.
How can I do this?

P.S.
I want to connect it directly to the HU not trough the FM.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Anatoliy

I don't think you can do that without replacing your headunit, too. What cd/mp3 changer unit are you looking at?

Any aftermarket CD/MP3-Changer "Sony, Kenwood, Apline, ..." as long it is going to work with the factory HU.

Sony has an FM modulated 10 disk CD/MP3 changer with a small remote control for about $270. Check Crutchfield.

Unfortunately it doesn't even have line level outputs (only FM), so if at some future point you wanted to hook it into something else and not be restricted to FM, you are stuck.

Also the display screen kinda sucks in terms of not displaying many characters for the track name at once.

I decided to replace the factory headunit and CD Changer. Now I’m looking for a nice dash panel for a stereo. Does any one know where I can find a good one?
Also what do you recommend, sony, kenwood, or apline?

Thanks in advance.

Anatoliy
