yes but the pcb boards have to be changed so the plugs match up. once adapted the chager will have all the ability of the new pioneer headunit like cd text . i have done it to many lexus cd changers which are made in japan and much better quality than a new pioneer aftermarket changer made in malaysia. no sense in throwing away a 1000.00 factory cd changer for a 179.00 aftermarket one.

Does Pioneer Make a nicely equipped Double Din Head unit that does some cool stuff that's worth buying?

How do you get your hands on one of these pcb boards?

My friend just put in the Pioneer AVIC-D2 (previous model from newest D3) in his Subie. It's double-din and has built-in GPS navi. He got it for $580 at Magnolia Hi-Fi when they were having their closeout sale. Apparently Magnolia is cutting out their car audio department here in Oregon. Maybe your area is the same.

That would be very cool to be able to link up the 12 disc to an aftermarket-- though I'm still not sure I'd use it even then--

Would it have mp3 capability with this new PCB?
