Default hole in subwoofer. Can it be repaired?

Subwoofer box tipped over and hit the corner of the box.Therre is now a hole in Cone. Speaker still sounds good however is there anyway we can patch that hole and not compromise the sound?? I do not want to replace entire sub speaker.

Yes, the speaker can be repaired. How big of a hole is it? Is the material from the hole still attached or detached or lost? Of course a picture is worth a thousand words.

As said earlier, a picture of the hole and the sub manufacturer/model make a huge difference in how we approach this.

Attached are the photos of my torn Woofer Cone. Any suggestion in how to repair? Quick fix. Do not really care what it looks like now.

The hole in the dust cap is a non-issue unless it goes all the way through the cone.

On the rubber surrount, silicone or Plumber's Goop (my favorite) will work. Patch it from the back side so it doesn't look bad. Use a rubber glove to keep from getting sticky stuff all over your hand.

+2 on the silicone. I've repaired three different brands and size of subs with this magical silicone.

Silicone and Goop type products only work on rubber surrounds. Foam and neoprene will sometimes melt when touched by those substances. In that case you would need a latex caulk. DAP makes some good ones.

How do I fix the paper cone?
I have not had time to address this. Can I also use Heavy duty duct tape?

Post a picture from the back side of the cone.

I'd probably try to position the torn pieces together and use CA glue (aka super glue).

Permatex makes the best sealer due to it's malleability and after all......... it "IS" gasket maker.
