I'm planning on adding a couple of things to clean up the sound quality of my 2006 Non-ML GS300. I was thinking of getting components, an amp, and a sub.
Can you please give me a couple of recommendations? I'm looking for the best bang for the buck and looking to spend less than a $1000.
Rajeev6, thanks for the advice. I'm probably going to upgrade my components first and run them on the stock amp to see if I notice a significant difference in clarity. This is what you did right as stated in bullet point 2 of your recommendation.
Does anyone have any components that they recommend? I was thinking of getting these Polks for $199. Is there one you think sounds better for cheaper or is the best bang for the buck?
Maybe a used model but quality went down after they were purchased by the owner of US Amps.
There are dozens of quality subs available from different manufacturers. Sundown, SSA, Fi Car Audio, etc. There are even guys that will build a sub for your custom application. Check out the PSI forum at Car Audio Classified. BTW, the owner of PSI was the guy that went to China to teach the factory workers how to build RE subs.
