Default Let me start over again - Sound System

I have no idea about car audio so I figured instead of 20 questions about amps and subs YOU guys/gals could give me a heads up.

I am looking for the following set up:

2 12" Subs
amp/s
anything else needed

I am looking for sound quality not just crazy bass and I want high-quality subs/amp like alpine, eclipse, JL audio and audiobahn.

Also here is my terrible drawing of what I would like to do (Thats plexiglass over the amp/s)

You're interested in sound quality yet no aftermarket speakers? Also, you will have very minimal gain buying a second subwoofer, so if SQ is priority, then one should suffice...

I really like the speakerrs I have right now. Also, I defintaly am into bass I just mean I don't want something for base only, I listen to rap but i also listen to bands like 311 and sublime and squarepusher. Perhaps 1 15?

If you're not going to upgrade speakers, then I would recommend something along the lines of an a/d/s 312.r and a JBL 300.1. Should sound very good without drowning out other frequencies too badly. As for the two 12's vs. one 15', there's a large thread a few pages back on just that subject which you could look into...

Ya I already read that though I think a 15 would still be fun for that base, I was looking at a
PA5422 - Eclipse 4 Ch 800 Watt Amplifier and a SW8122.4 - Eclipse 12" Aluminum SVC Subwoofer

i got 1 15 eclipse aluminum. great sq and tight bass, but its consumes a lot of space. belive me i've built a lot of boxes, and its not as easy as drawing a pic and fittin in the sub. subs have pretty big dimensions you have to consider like the length of the magnet and make sure its not touching any wood. I would only suggest that when you build your box, make sure it has dimensions, like either angles or different levels not just a flat cube, because the box also affects the sq. good luck
