Tube buffer to warm up audio
Hi all,
Anyone know the hold Musical Fidelity X10d tube buffers? I just realized they are 12V devices! I think they can be found for around $100 used. This would be perfect to add to a car audio system, to the front speakers, to add some warmth to the music. Does anyone think this would benefit a system consisting of:
Dynaudio 240's in front/Boston Rally's rear/JL IB10 sub
McIntosh MC427 amplifier
Alpine 7982 (or something like that) source
Alpine CD changer
Thanks!
- Tony

Tony,
You'll add warmth but will also add to distortion (part of the "warmth" sound) and lose some resolution in the process. But, if you're after a more relaxed sound then I'd say go for it!
The Dyns will reveal them nicely and the Mc would probably complement it nicely.
Dynaudio's demo vehicle used this also.
