Default popped 12w6v2

so i dunno what happend I think my brother popped it, but I got into my car one morning a couple days ago and my w6 sounded like crap. I guess it popped
but Im running a 500/1 and I had this sub for a long time now and never popped before. Well i got another w6v2 sitting in my room i was pondering what I should do.
I dont want extreme bass or anything and like the w6v2 but could go a little more bass...
with that being said what would you guys do sell that w6v2 and put more money and get a 12w7?
I do not want to get 1000/1 i want to keep my 500/1

I would stick with the W6. It is a better overall sounding driver vs the dub7. What type of enclosure were you running the sub in? If its sealed I would look into a ported enclosure to add a little extra output to it.

I've owned the W6V1's, W6V2's and the W7's. I say stick with the W6V2's unless you want serious serious bass. When I had the W7's I turned down the bass from the headunit constantly. Like HiloDB1 said, if you want it to be louder then go with a ported enclosure.

I actually like sealed better but I was running ported because thats how the setup came, should i fill the box with that poly fill?
I have a jl bass **** so I was also constantly turning it up and down due to songs having different bass levels. I love the bass **** though.
i think for now I am going to replace the w6 and run it until it pops again I guess. Do you think over time it just wears down?
I have had that sub for several years now I dont understand how it popped
The cd that was in the deck was a heavy bass cd lil boosie
