1994 LS400: FM Band goes in and out, but AM Band is okay
Before I go out and purchase an aftermarket radio with an aftermarket harness and an aftermarket dash kit, I was wondering if anyone could help with with this issue...
My 1994 LS400 (in the past few weeks) has had the FM band start to fuzz in and out. There are times when I turn on the radio and the FM stations work. But, after about 10 minutes of playing, the sound starts to slowly fuzz out until you can barely here the music without turning it all the way up.
Even when it's at max, you can barely here it over the static and I'm afraid that it'll turn back on a be super loud.
I can hear the FM adjusting as I change stations, but the static stays.
Is this my radio dying? Or do I just need to replace the Antenna Mast?
Thanks for your help in advance!

The Lexus tech told me that it is an internal issue with the radio tuner.
And, the radio would need to be replaced.
Sadly, I'm just going to go with an aftermarket unit.
