Default Ls400 Radio Problem

I have a 98 LS400 with a pioneer radio. I bought and installed an aftermarket wood trim kit in my car and was using a heating gun to help glue the piece on the radio. I ended up messing up the radio. It plays music, but is only stuck on one station. The volume can be adjusted and the treble,bass,fader,etc.. work, but the presets along with the tuner and option for am or cd dont work. I know this is because I was using the heating gun over the radio and im an idiot, but how can this be fixed, if at all possible. thanks a million for your help.

Sounds like you fried something dude. I honestly don't know if this can be fixed, you may want to just buy an aftermarket deck and install that!

Are the buttons still pressable or are they stuck?

It could be deformed plastic around the buttons and is now stuck on that station. Look at it closely and see if you see the melted plastic that is preventing the buttons from working. If it is melted/deformed plastic just use an exacto kife to shave some of the deformed plastic so that your button can move again. If trim is OK then re-install if possible.

If not, then you need to get you radio repaired. see www.carstereohelp.com , they can fix problems on Lexus decks.
