Default Putting a system in my IS250, need suggestions

I'm trying do the best bang for your buck for the system i'm planning to put in my IS.

So far I was thinking to go all Alpine.

Alpine Type-R 12"
Alpine M500 mono amp
Alpine F300 4 channel amp
Alpine Type-X ref component speakers

Few questions. Is Alpine known to be a reputable company? Will the F300 provide enough power to the Type-X speakers?

If there's a better amp and speakers for the money please share.

Lastly, would it be worth it at all to change out the rear speakers or would changing out the fronts be sufficient? Thanks for any help.

Why? Is there a particular reason for this?

Reputable and a bit more expensive than their quality and tier should command, IMO. Feature wise, they are good, but price is always 20% more than it should be, AFAIC.

It should be. You're not running a 5Kw sub stage so your front stage should be able to keep up with that power.

You're asking for others opinions for amps, and that's fine, but the speakers should be something you listen to and like. Others don't share your ears, and what sounds harsh and lifeless to me may be exactly what sounds perfect to you.

I would do the fronts and evaluate it for yourself. You can always swap them later.

Most people won't even notice no rear speakers if the front stage is good enough, though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the great advice. As far as going all alpine, there's no reason for it but I already have the 12" type r sub and m500 amp.

For the 4 channel amp, i'm debating between the Alpine F300 or JL 320.4

If you are matching it for aesthetics and it will meet the function and the price, then go for the Alpine. I would still listen to several speakers before making the final call. I would also ask if the place you listen to them can let you hear them on the amp you want. It will give you a good idea on how they will sound, but be prepared that they will sound different in the car. If you visit a shop, be prepared to explain what you're trying to do, and go with a price in mind. Keep in mind that they have overhead that an online place doesn't, but they offer expertise with it if they're worthy of being called a shop.

If all they can do is poop on what you've chosen, it's time to run. True shops work with all customers provided their budgets are there.

Does the IS250 use 5 1/4" speakers or 6 1/2"?
