Hi, I got a 07 ls460l with ml stereo. The problem is that there is no sound coming from radio or cd. I tried to adjust the balance, fade,ect. but could not adjust. Everything else on the touch screen I can adjust except for the speaker part. Right now the speaker adjustment are all the way to the right rear, I can not readjust that to the middle, I touch the icon front,rear,left,right but nothing moved. As I stated everything else on the touchscreen works except to adjust my speakers. Also I can not find the fade adjustment anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

I'm dealing with the same problem on my '02 GS with ML. From a lot of research I've done over the past couple of days, it seems almost certain that we're dealing with a very common problem--a blown amplifier. Apparently it controls a lot of audio functions as well as performing as an amp, so the symptoms are just what we're seeing with lack of audio and limited functions on the nav screen.

Now for the really bad news--new amps appear to cost $1,800, and even refurbished amps are in the ~$800 range (plus labor to R&R). I can't believe I never heard about this problem until it happened to me, but it seems to be an epidemic with ML systems in all Lexus models and all model years...
