Before I take it to the Lexus dealer, I wanted to ask the Guru's here. It's not receiving the Satallite signals anymore from the GPS Icon on the screen. I haven't done anything to the car. No window tints, pulling of wiring etc. All of a sudden one day, it started to crap out. Now the current location is way off. I left the system on for over 15 mins to no avail. THANKS!!
hey guys, why, does taking off the neg or pos side of the battery have any effect on the navigation? is there anthing else i should know bout the navigations. im picking up my brand new 2002 rx300 black on black, chrome rims and navigation tomorrow (thursday) at 12:00. i cant wait im soooo excited. reason for my asking... is ill be doin all the stereo instalation myself so i jsut want to make sure, or find out all i can about the navigation. will disconnecting the batt do anything to the nav, or will it have to be reset after reconnecting the batt, etc. thanks guys
Because it may allow the nav computer to reboot, and re-gain some settings it may have lost or forgotten. Same is true on automotive ECU's,many cars will run better if you reset the ECU. My Supra tt would gain almost 50 hp from it.

Use a hammer on the main unit!
That ought to knock the Nav back into place.
