I currently have a Rockford Fostgate 500a2 bridged with (2) JL Audio 12w4's and i believe my amp is over heating. It works for 30-45 min. but then goes on and off and people have told me it is overheating. Can anyone help?

Fosgate amps generally double as George Foreman grills, the fact that it's overheating is nothing suprising.

Regarding it's turning on and off, do you mean it's going into protect mode? If the W4's are 4ohm speakers and you have them wired in parallel, that could be causing the problem and would explain any excessive overheating...
