Default UCF11 Focal/Steg sound system

Hey all,

First off, i'm an SQ guy, but i also play my music decently loud, i decided to try out a new set of Focal mids that are freshly released and very limited.

-Headunit is a Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD

-Focal 165V30 components up front, powered by a Steg K2.01 amp

-For a sub I'm running a Focal 33V1 powered by a Steg K2.02

-Stinger 0G power wire, Odyssey PC1200, rebuilt Denso alternator (120A)

Headunit Review:

Good overall unit, great interface, lots of cool options and funtions. This unit actually will charge the connected ipod which i also like. What i didn't like was the low voltage pre outs, absolutely HORRID parametric EQ and crappy audio processor. But what else can you expect for around $500.

Steg K series Amps:

I love these amps. I switched all my old school PPi Power Class amps over to these, and I absolutely love them. Monsterous power in a small package, and sound quality is great, no noise whatsoever through these at low volume levels and even when audio is turned all the way down. Unfortunately they are discontinued, and i've also been trying to get my hands on a STEG link, can't seem to find that anywhere. I wish they still made these, I'm glad i bought 5 of them when they were still available.

Focal 165V30:

These bad boys are freshly released, I decided to pick up a set and try em out, and i have to say I am very impressed. Very very smooth, and the tweeter is matched perfectly. I've had issues with Focal tweeters before, in most cases they are super harsh like the TNK tweeter they use in the K165's that I have in my GS300. Classic Focal brightness, but overall a great set that needed minimal EQing. I had a hot spot around 8-9KHz and another around 800Hz

Overall the whole system sounds great, and it gets blistering loud. I'm very happy with the setup, but future plans do include a second 33V1 sub.
