Default installer **** - ls400

being a stereo installer i have to have some kind of a custom buildup in my car. i dont have a lot of money right now for nice equipment but managed to pick up this sony system for a good deal.

i built the boxes so that i can eventually upgrade to two 10w3's and a 500/1 although i think i might just sell this box and do three 10w3 off of a hd 750/1.... decisions decisions.. but thats all when i can save up the $$

i made this box in my spare time. its only 3 inches deep with the subs extending out 3 more inches. because of the glasswork i was able to mount the trim peice and only loose about 5 inches out of the back of my trunk (where the gastank is)... still have a spare tire and lots of trunk space.

when i get my JL gear i'll end up flushing the amp on one side of the trunk being how both sides of storage are completely useless to me.

I don't know what you were thinking. lol. But, I feel mislead too. I'm an installer myself. I was thinking some fab work in the front of the vehicle with full customized mid-bass drivers in the front kick panels, 4 channel amp with plexi cover, 2 channel running the subs in plexi, and the sub/s glassed into either side of the trunk... I guess I set my expectations a bit high. LOL. I feel like such an azz now...

Anyway, good start! I have yet to get anything into my trunk... Any plans for the amp to be custom mounted?

Nice build! I wanted to do a shallow sub enclosure like this when I had my LS. I also considered mounting a sub from the rear deck, as well as a spare tire install that kept the spare tire..
