Default HELP! Which wires?? ('98 GS400)

I have a '98 GS400 with the Nakamichi system in it...I'm trying to wire in a line output converter. A gentleman here told me to tap the seafoam/silver dots and brown/silver dots (positive and negative respectively) going into the amp--I did that (from the far left plug) tonight and just lost my front right speaker.

Which wires are the PRE-AMP SUBWOOFER wires?

is this gonna be for a sub amp? if so you can get it from the speaker outputs of the amp, you'll get more signal output from that anyway, l/r speaker is black+ yellow- and r/r is red+ white-, the wires should be grouped together coming from the amp, also do you have a factory sub, you can use the signal from there as well, hope this helps, if not let me know

OK--that makes a little more sense.

It is for a replacement sub I mounted in the back deck where the factory sub was. So would it be better to attach the LOC between the factory amp and sub, or tap into the speaker wires?

Thanks!

sorry for the crude art work, but while using the wire colors that were mentioned above you can hook it up like this for the factory amp (pic no.1), or from the factory sub wire harness (pic no.2), at the factory sub the colors might be different then what was listed above, so if you still have the factory sub you can do the 9v battery test to figure out which side is positive and negative, tap the battery + and - to the wires on the factory sub, and if the sub pops upwards, then you have it hooked up correctly, if it pops downward then its backwards, its easier done then said, if you need a pic of the procedure i could draw one up real quick.lol i just read my post and it might not be so easy to understand so the drawing might help the most, p.s. the wire location i pointed out on the factory amp are for reference only and not actual location of the wires...
