What are the pros and cons of using the Lexus OEM XM satellite unit versus the VAIS TECH?

Both units SL2xMT and factory installed XM have the same functionality. But we use different tuner is the only difference.

I get the impression that the OEM unit is easier to install but the volume levels match the radio better on the Vais Tech unit. Am I correct?

A few Lexus dealerships use our XM unit for installation because it's easier for them to get behind the radio to install our unit then take a lot more apart for OEM installation. But for some cars there is a connector in the trunk which allows OEM unit to be connected within minutes.

You can contact your dealer to see where XM unit is installed in your car.
