Default New Headunit vs. Navigation Conflict?

I currently have the factory Mark Levinson head unit in my GX. I really hate the sound and want to upgrade. I contacted my local audio shop and they explained to me that if I change the headunit it will conflict with my navigation system and create issues. I find this hard to believe

I'm wondering if any other Lexus owners have upgraded their OEM head unit and if they have experienced any conflicts with their navigation system.

Any input is appreicate, thanks!

instead of changing everything why dont you just add an equalizer? in your stock radio somthing like audiocontrol EQX? it helps check it out before changing anything major.
