Hey guys

I bought the Vaistech sirius unit and the wires they suggested for using my sharkfin antenna (2007 GS 350)

Went to get it installed today. Everythings working great, but I noticed he put a small Sirirus "dot" antenna on my front roof.

Am I wrong to assume this guy didn't use my sharkfin? Or is this normal? I thought I wouldn't need this thing? I'm guessing the guy didn't know wtf he was doing? Hopefully it is normal and I'm just clueless.
