so my GS450h came without a shark fin so I guess I need some stupid external antenna. I've seen the post of the one who installed it in the back window area, but anyone have any other suggestions.
Does it need line of sight to the sky or if I install it in the inside the trunk would that be ok?
They said the GS 450h is the only GS that won't have the fin. It's what differentiates it from the others. Blah. I agree the fin is obnoxious looking but I wish there was still a non obtrusive way of installing the antenna without it looking lame.

XM antenna on the rear shelf w/ sirius receiver in the trunk. works fine, looks clean.

 

I put my XM antenna in the exact same place, works great, and I like better there then the shark antenna on the roof.

 

they say you need a clear view of the sky and to put it on the outside of the vehicle. on my older vehicle i installed the ant. on the inside front winshield just behind the rear view mirror and reception has never been a problem. i prefer out of sight out if mind. to me the ant on the rear deck lid is a bit odd looking but, just my 2 cents. my xm is connected to the sharkfin
