Question The Final Word On Sirius Is?

I ordered the Sirius receiver and the kit for my GS 300. Do I stay with the Sirius antenna or go with the XM?

The dealer here in NJ wanted $900 for the receiver and the install but I decided to have someone else install it and I should save over $400.00.

Sirius is great, but the SIGMA antenna sucks. I installed it exactly as instructed and the adhesive did not set perfectly. It has fallen off three times. Plus, highway overpasses cause signal interruption which never happenened with XM in my Acura (although the latter issue is probably caused by too short of a buffer in the Sirius receiver).

Default Sirius antenna

I had Sirius installed about month ago. Antenna is next to rear view mirror to the right at the top inside winshield. Noticed it a bit at first but not now. Don't notice it from outside at all. I have had no trouble with it ever falling off or any movement after the install. Reception has been great only rarly do I loose signal. I even get a signal in my garage. I am quite happy with the install and reception.

I also have the SIGMA anetnna and have never had it fall off. The reception is decent and I only lose reception temporarily under overpasses and in heavy tree canopies.

i have the XM antenna w/ sirius receiver. it's a very clean install, and ZERO reception issues for the last two months. personally i think it's a better solution than the SIGMA which is adhered to the windshield. the kit was $300 and the install was $180 at a local lexus dealer.

Which dealer did you go to for the install?
