Just talked to Metra tech support. They had no ETA or hints on the availability of these kits.

He told me to check around middle of January during CES time for more information.

I hope the kit they make will allow the 2 din head units to be fitted without having to modify the apature, as i have had to to fit in a 93, 400. Unless of course the 2 din sizes in europe are different to the 2 dins in the states.

I would so buy this kit if its reasonably priced. That is the reason i never upgraded the stereo. Seemed like too much work without the jdm kit.

The double DIN LS400 kit with full backetry was $20 ish bucks. I can't imagine this kit being too expensive.

We should have some info soon.

its going to be somewhere between 19.99-49.99 retail cost is gonna be 5-12 bucks i will try to contact metra today to see the progress of this

A local shop called metra and was told that the kit will be out late January. Car audio apparently has their big show for the 2009 line-up in about a week so it should be released afterwards.

Finally both kit is available now, I checked http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i117_lexus.html have both DDin and SDin. price is 14.99 sound good compare to the JDM ones.
