I just got an 09 RX350 Pebble Beach edition. I wanted the satilite radio but they wanted an extra $1000 for it. They told me the majority of the cost was due to labor. The car has the sat-am button on the radio. I assume that means the car is already set up for satilite. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about hooking up Sirius? Thanks
The car is hooked up for satellite, but it's XM. With the merger I'm not sure how the programming is going to work, but when I got Sirius installed I got this box http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/serv...0&oldParentID=
And added the Vaistech Shark fin adapter for my IS because the antenna they installed with the original unit was horrible.
SL2s unit from us will let you connect Sirius into your car just like a factory set up would. It'll give you full text and control right from your Radio.
SL2s is $224.99 plus it needs SCC1 tuner which is another ~$50.
Give us a call if you need installers info in your area.
The car is xm or sirius ready. The factory install is time comsuming due to the fact that you need to go from the radio to the amp which is located behind the rear seats. Mount receiver next to the amp and then route the antanna throw the bumper up to the roof.
