Any pointers or advise would be great!

You can unplug it from the trunk so that it no longer moves or makes noises. I don't know how to fully remove it though.

go to an auto store, and get one that doesn't move up or down.

what exactly did you need help with? isnt it a simple process?

stubby antennas look way better and a lot easier to do (imho) and wont require paint, bondo, and/or welding.

i drove through a car wash w/ my antenna up and it broke off clean. to this day i still dont have an antenna but i still get perfect reception so i never botherd to replace it. i do wanna shave it thou, anyone know how to d.i.y? i might buy some bondo from advance auto and give it a shot

Ive tried a couple of hidden antenna with little satisfaction. Im trying a new one called tune trapper $40.00 shipped.

i have 2 sc's and both antenna's are shot i just plug one with small rubber antenna mast other never got around to

i just unplugged mine from the trunk... doesn't go up and no ugly stick from the rear anymore...
