Default What Amp?

I just got a set of 6.5 Alpine Type R components and a 12 Alpine Type R sub. What amp would you guys recommend I use for these? Can I run just one amp?

You can run a 5-channel but it would have to be very powerful. The Type R series can handle a good amount of power. if you want the most out of your system i would go with two seperate amps. However the Alpine PDX-5 does put out plenty of power for the componets but only 300 watts RMS for your sub. It is nice and small but expensive.

I looked around and the best I could find was an Infinity Reference 475a (75x4). The Type R components are power hungry so you need a decent size amp to make them work to their potential. Also I found a Alpine MRP-F550 (90x4) for only $210. Both of these are good deals, the alpine possibly being the best for power and quality.

Oh and for the Sub i would suggest a T.M.A 500.1. I have a 250.1 and it has been excellent, seeming to put out even more power than i expected, plus they are only about $150 online.
