Default Anyone using Epicenter Plus or Cleansweep (Audio peeps, chime in)

I was wondering if anyone here is using/has used either the Audio Control Epicenter Plus or JL Audio Cleansweep CL-SSI in their audio systems. I'm in the market for either/or/both, but I wanted to hear if anyone here had some first-hand experience with the SC platform, since our trunks seem to suck up a lot of bass from trunk-mounted subs.

Pics of what I'm talking about:

EDIT: Found a few threads on the Cleansweep, not too fond of the seperate volume control thing... my issue is more with bass output and I'm leaning towards getting the Epicenter Plus so any feedback on that particular unit would be better =)

now days, all the decks have built in crossovers and so does the amps so there is no need of another crossover.

yeah those things make amplifies more sound but also amplifies feedback and whining. it's more wiring in your car and now a days your deck and amp crossovers will do the trick.

spend your money on other things than a epic center or clean sweep.

Default Dead wrong

I could NOT disagree more. The CleanSweep setup that I have is nothing short of PERFECT (I'm not complimenting myself, as I sure as hell didnt install it. The signal is coming to the amp at 8.6v. Ridiculous. The factory Pioneer head unit in the Lexus Premium Audio package seems like it may have the same innards as the Pioneer DEPH8000 deck from that year (circa 2000). When installed properly and calibrated at the proper volume level, its great.

If you have a noisy deck, which Lexus owners do NOT, the volume **** would be nice, but when the CleanSweep is calibrated at the decks optimal volume level, it sounds crystal clear... I dont evrn HAVE the volume ****, and it wasnt necessary for the setup. The gain on my amp is set at about 15-20 percent. The signal is that clean.

Friendly reminder, TURN OFF AND DISABLE ASL, or your speakers will soon be DEAD, as it amplifies the sound coming out of the head unit... noisily.

On a side note, the isntall was a *****. Took my guy about 8 hours with all of the re-wiring, etc. Whole car was torn apart... the bay full full of my seats, etc. Looked like a chop shop!

If you have any questions about my install, let me know, as I've mainly been a lurker on these forums.

Default Epicenter

The Epicenter is good for certain music types, not all. It can sometimes make poor processing judgements and add unnatural bass/boom to the music. Some might think this is good, but if you listen to it it sounds ridiculous. What this amounts to is that you tend to have to keep adjusting the parameters of the Epicenter from song to song. It can be a bit of a PITA. I use it for sources like iPod and Sat Radio, where the compression process may have removed some of the original boom. If you set it right, it can sound awesome.
