Cool Pioneer AVIC-D3 in 05ES330

Looking to install my AVIC-D3 in my 05ES330. Got the face plate from the ML Nav unit order and all the brackets and bolts. I have the non-ML system with the pioneer amp. My question is, what harness to get? The Metra 70-8113 or the Metra TYTO01 wire harness? The second has a converter box that supposedly will work with the factory amp. They cost 20 and 60 respectively. If I can't get the factory amp to work, then does anyone know the impedence of the factory speakers? and the RMS rating? I'll be doing a full write up and pics when I do the install and share with the community

Well its done. I got everything working. Bypassed the factory amp. Got my 12" sub working. My headrest tvs are fed thru the deck. Looks nice, but I lost functionality of the "DISP" button on the steering wheel that changes the display in the gauge cluster for MPG, to AVG MPG, MILES LEFT, ETC

How much did the dash kit and the brackets cost, and where did you order them from? I was thinking of upgrading my wifes ES300 2002. Any pics would be great.

I ordered them from Lexus dealer. It ran me around 150 for all the brackets and bolts and the Mark Levison Bezel. I think you can use the factory brackets and bolts. I just ordered them anyway because it had to be special ordered and figured might as well spend the money to do it right the first time. Email me and remind me to post pics. khmer6@gmail.com

Heres a pic for now. I don't have a web hosting anymore right now. I'll upload them to a server later. I haven't didn't have a chance to take pics of it right now. But everything works, sound, GPS while in motion, DVD in motion. I didn't opt to hook up the factory wired remote.

here are more pics as requested. I'm still looking for a "bezel kit" to cover the holes. I remember there is such a thing, but don't know where to start looking. Let me know if anyone wants any certain kind of pics or help. I'll do what I can

you make your own filler plate to cover the gaps. you can get some sheet abs plastic and make a filler plate. if you know how to fiberglass you can also modify the bezel and fill the gaps. then repaint the plastic.

You can use the American International TTR-992 kit, it's basically 2 side trims that are mounted to your double DIN stereo unit and will cover the side gaps.

Thank you for posting this and proving that it is possible. I have been thinking about doing this for months and now my stock head unit totally died. So now I either pay $1000 for a stock replacement (quoted from lexus) or get this modification and get something I need/want.
Please post some pics of the whole mod after it is completed with the American International TTR-992 kit.
