Talking Looking for the right double din

Im looking for a double din dvd player for my sc300, im looking for one with 7' screen and has navigation and has bluetooh option as well as ipod cable option. Now here is the part where i need help, im looking for one that has navigation BUT it only has 1 disc load option which means you can only use gps when you need it and then listen to music with no gps, kindo of what the pioneer avic-d3 has.

So far all i know is pioneer d3 but it only has 6.1 screen size, i use to have a 6.5 and upon looking at my friend 7' i realize how that .5 screen size really does matter, i cant imagin how much smaller the 6.1 screen is now.

Please let me know what you guys know about these. thanks!

honestly i like the d3 (except for the stupid gps disc thing) i like how there is a volume ****, which kinda gives me that oem look. to me, 6.1 doesn't really give that much of a disadvantage

other players i'd suggest is the z2, they should be cheaper now that the z3 has come out

If you want to stick with pioneer they have the z2 and the newly released z3. Both these use hard drives to store the navigation software and map data so you can have a music disc playing while working with the nav. ipod support is so so from what i heard. bluetooth can be added on with a module i believe.

A few eclipse models come with a dual slot so you can have the map disc loaded in one slot and a music cd loaded in the other. No need for disc swapping. Not too sure on ipod and bluetooth support.

There's a new kenwood excelon model coming out soon (DNX8120). Nav is based on garmin and the data is stored on a removeable memory card so no disc swapping as well. It has builtin bluetooth, 3 5v preouts, 2 usb ports and full speed ipod control. suppose to be the fastest ipod support when it comes out. i have one on preorder at the moment.

D3 then...or you can try those cheaper model ones, i'm sure they have the 1 disc thing. i find the pioneer the most ergonomic

I'm just like you, I know exactly what I want and will try my best to get it.

Since you WANT the dual slot w/ 7" check out the eclipse. I think they got what you're looking for. Also check out mfr websites. pioneer, eclipse, panasonic, kenwood, alpine

GL on your search!

I have the d3 also and at first I didn't like how there was only 1 slot for the nav dvd, but I hardly use it. The ipod cable helps out a lot.
