Help Needed - 92 SC400 Audio System
i have a 94 sc400 stock naka system. the system is kinda slack, it doesnt' bump like how newer systems do (no base). In the back theres a stock sub from naka that came wit the car. i replaced the stock naka deck wit an pioneer mp3 deck. I'm tryin to avoid installin subs in the trunk because i need the space. i was wondering if ne1 out there can offer help or have encountered this issue b4. I was thinkin mayb changing the naka sub with an after market one and wiring that to an amp. not sure if that will work or if its even possible. help me!! thanks
yea..you can do that. get an aftermarket sub to fit directly in the drop sub spot, then wire that to an aftermarket amp and then connect it to your system and you should be good to go. that way you can have some good bass
Here's some pics from my install of a JL IB4 10.

Dont have any better pics than those though. My car came with the Nak 8" so I had to open the hole up to fit the 10. I also replaced all the other speakers with MB Quart. 4.5 up front and 5.25 in the rear. All running on a HiFonics Zeus amp. 55w to each door/rear deck and 200w to the sub. Sounds great!!
