Thats great work man.

I just put the AVIC-D3 in my car in February, and built a PC in December, and it now seems time to bring the two together.

I look forward to more updates.

+1, any videos of it in action? I am just starting to gather the information to piece one together. Have you experienced any glare? I am trying to decide where to put it, like you, PNYBOY, or ACLEANSC4. I like the idea of hiding the computer or parts of it in the dash behind the old double din.

the glare thing is a bit hard to get rid of..one thing is you can get the higher end screen..or just keep your moon roof closed then you're pretty good..personally..id opt for the higher end screen..then you wont have to worry about placement

Still didn't start mine yet, but I got my super tiny intel board the other day.

Was there enough space behind the unit to fit the wires properly?

I removed the Airbag computer in order to fit the whole unit.

Your setup could be mistaken for factory! Very nice fabrication work.
Mine wont look factory, but I hope it turns out nice and clean as yours is.
I'm going to stick the PC casing behind the seat for ease of access though.. Not to worried about space since I'm deleting the rear seats. Do you have internet access in the car?

My install required a bit of work but I wanted the whole unit to be together. Location the CPU elsewhere is much easier but requires more wires to run I think.

I have Internet by way of 2 methods. Via WIFI if Im near a hot spot or My cell phone Vie cable of bluetooth.

I had the sprint mobile broadband card but canceled the service.
