My Car PC worklog

First and foremost, as a fellow CarPC owner...to the OP...nicely done! Clean OEM look! Well planned and well executed!
gs40004gs, there are ways around it. I installed a CarPC in my 2003 SC430, which has factory navigation. I actually used the OEM screen (the SC430 has a very nice powered, retractable screen that I didn't want to muck with).
I'm not trying to hijack the OP's thread but, here's a link showing how I wired it up to switch between the factory display and the aux video input (which is what the CarPC is now hooked to) and here's a link to the thread about the CarPC itself.
I tried several other front-ends before settling on Centrafuse as well. It's really the best, most-supported option out there right now.

This project is the best example of a carputer i've seen to date-excellent install and congrats on the magazine coverage,it was very well deserved.
I am starting a carputer project from scratch due to the outcome of this project and some others...I am definitely inspired!! I will pm you with a few questions...thanx in advance!
