Default Custom Box for 2nd Gen GS

Does anyone have one? I am looking for pictures and dimensions for a custom subwoofer box for the 2nd Gen GS. We have a weird trunk setup and I wanted to see if anyone was able to make a box for it.

Well I have a box for sale in the classifieds here is the link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=321977

I wouldn't say it's a "custom trunk" setup but it does fit perfectly into the middle space in the back of the trunk right up against the rear seats ... It doesn't cover the opening for the spare tire either ...

Nice, I had been thinking about something like this, but didn't know if it was possible or more importantly if it would sound good because i dont want to eliminate my spare tire ... Who knows when you'll need it in an emergency ... If you figure something out be sure to send me pictures please !! lol

With this setup..It fits tightly in the center area....with some room to put my amp on top..so I kinda like it...I didn't have to nail anything down...everything is just tightly squeezed...But as far as cosmetics go..I don't think it is the best looking =\ . The base of the speakers look really good..they are alphasoniks 800s 12inch.

I am able to access everything as well..such as my spare...I don't know the measurements on the box but i this is what you are loooking for I can check for you... Gluck

This is an older picture...I dont have the cross over theree anymore..or the wires...I movedd all of those on the top of hte sub..

Old...

When I decided to OVERKILL for a lil while, lol

These are more recent pics, I was working on something under the hood so I kept the engine cover in the trunk..but as you can see there are no wires...the cross and amp are on top of the sub..hidden...

Hi lots of pics if you search on my posts and 'trunk'

One old version (not the nutty one, the more practical version).

Here's a thread with most of the setup (some of the wiring has been upgraded or replaced)

Dave, I've always wanted to do a custom trunk setup but everyone keeps discouraging me in the sense that I will not get the maximum thump that I am looking for if I go fiber or plexiglass...

And that the wooden ported boxes are the best and generate the cleanest and maximum bass...What do you think?

The subs I have running right now are 3600 watts peak...for both...
I want to eventually have a big enough amp to push both to the peak...Do you think if I look around for different enclosures I will sacrificee sound quality and strength?

I'd agree with them 100% - build for what your goals are. If it's sound avoid the plexi, etc if it's show then do it (what I went for).
