ok guys...I bought myself a 6.8 inch screen to mount right in the dash...a DVD player to mount in the trunk but has a remote eye for the front, and I have a big 4-channel amp in the trunk as well. here's the problem...I have no volume control. I can't believe I didn't think of this. I could have sworn I thought the DVD player came with it. What can I do???????????

 

Get a DVD Player that does have one...The Farenheit does here:

Look for the bottom 2 players on EBAY...the DVD-3T is the one that I have in my car and it's a good unit and i'll tell you the perfect place to put the remote EYE...you will love me for this!!!! Just let me know if you are going to get this unit and I'll tell you where to put the EYE.

By the way this unit plays MP3's..

you know you might want to go with the top one because it has AM/FM and you would be able to listen to the radio too. Perfect place for this unit would be directly to the right or in the place of the stock lexus 6cd changer.

i think the cheapest route would be to get a line level volume control. You can place it between the RCA going from your DVD to amp. Of course you'll need another set of RCA coming from the volume control to the amp. You should be able to get this at any car stereo place. I used one before and placed it btw my crossover and sub amp so i had sub volume control.

other thing you can do is get a pre-amp eq. PPI par-245 is a good one. A few other manufactuers make some too.
