is there a headunit that can play dvd's?? i'm looking for a headunit that does NOT have a screen built into it but can play dvd's, and cd's. i know alpine has one. anyone else have one?? whats the model number. thanks. i'm planning to do an external screen thats around 8 inches on my console, all these other built in screens are too small

 

Panasonic makes 2 in-dash DVD player models without screen. The CQ-DVR909U and CQ-DVR592U that might still be available, but the 909U was discontinued. If you can still find a 909U, it will be discounted to $550~. A very good head unit for the money considering it will also play DVD-Audio and DTS format discs.
