I forgot what the best internet/ebay store prices were on this unit but i think around $1300

If you have seen it working go for it...but get it around $800 car audio depreciates like crazy and he will have a hard time trying to get 1K for it regardless what he paid. If the 1K is including a custom install (from factory headunit to aftermarket) then maybe so.
